Ghost Town

Using this i have been able to develop an idea of what the band is like and therefore an idea of how a real video by them would be like.

Sarcasm

This is another gothic rock music video similar to the song I am using. Like Ghosts Of The Attic, this is also heavily performance based, so is not perfect to base my video on, but still uses the right tones to allow me to draw some influence from it.

Ghosts Of The Attic

This video is one of the closest genres to the band i am using for my own video in that it also uses the gothic themes that are used in You're So Creepy. This song also uses electronics similar to the one I am using, though much less. The similarities between the two songs make this a good video draw influence from in my own piece, though this is more performance based whereas i intend for mine to be more of a narrative.

Preliminary Piece

At the end of last year I created this as a preliminary piece as a part of a group. I feel that it turned out well, capturing the mood of the song suitably, although as part of a group of course was unable to affect the production as much as I would have liked which is why I have chosen to work alone for the main project. //_^

Album Art

The band have released the majority of their songs as singles, each featuring their own artwork by Alister Dippner (http://imamachinist.com/) so I have decided that I will be using a drawn image for the album cover I will be creating, attempting to find an artist that can use a similar style. //_^

 

Not Really A Whole Lot To Work With..

Being a pretty new and unknown band, Ghost Town don't have any existing music videos, so I don't really have a specific style I need to follow. This is good for me.. but bad at the same time cause.. you know.. nothing to use as inspiration.
They do have this though, a speed painting video by their official artist, so that kinda gives me some sort of style.. right?   //_^

Welcome To The Show

Well, here I am again. New blog, new project. This year I'll be working on a music video for the song You're So Creepy by Ghost Town. I know this song inside out and already have ideas practically pouring out of my head. Though most of them require technology and experience I won't have for decades so no matter what I'm gonna be pretty disappointed with it.
Anyway, have a poorly designed band logo to get started //_^
